TikTok has announced that it will resume operations in the United States.

The weekend was tumultuous for TikTok influencers and users as the app went offline in the United States on Saturday night, citing a legal restriction. However, it seems that TikTok is set to return after a little over 12 hours.

TikTok announced today that it is making efforts to bring back its services to users in the United States.

TikTok is working with its service providers to resume service, thanks to President Trump’s assurance that there will be no penalties.

TikTok expressed a firm stance in support of the First Amendment and against random censorship, mentioning plans to collaborate with President Trump on a lasting solution to ensure the app remains in the United States.

Trump announced over the weekend that he plans to issue an executive order on Monday to delay the implementation of the law banning certain actions in order to negotiate an agreement that safeguards national security.

This situation was an anticlimactic result for a long-lasting saga, as the Supreme Court denied ByteDance’s request to delay the TikTok ban due to national security concerns.
