What about the country of Brazil?

Brazil, similar to the United States, lags behind in mobile phone coverage, especially in rural areas where even 3G connectivity is unreliable. To address this issue, the concept of providing satellite internet directly to smartphones has emerged through initiatives like Starlink, which has deployed over 7,000 satellites in low Earth orbit by February 2025. Starlink began operating in Brazil in 2022 following approval by Anatel.

Will this technology be effective in Brazil?

For now, we cannot work with the same format as T-Mobile without a carrier here to replicate the process. This would disrupt data retrieval from satellites when the cellular signal is lost.

In Brazil, the monthly Starlink plan costs around R$184, and the installation kit for fixed internet is over R$2,000, making it a barrier to access.
