Shortly after 6:30 a.m. on Monday, the social media platform X, previously known as Twitter, experienced an outage affecting many users in Brazil. The network briefly returned, only to face further instability around 11:00 a.m.
Billionaire Elon Musk acquired the platform in October 2022, leading to occasional instability.
Complaints on Downdetector indicate that the issue started at 6:30 AM.
The social media platform X experienced a peak of 4,520 complaints about service disruption at 7:10 and another surge of 4,222 complaints at 10:49 before the issue was resolved.
Standardized services offered
Around 7:20, users noticed a gradual return of the ‘X’. The network started to stabilize at 11:25 after a second disruption. The cause of the social network’s instability during this second incident is still unknown.
