Nvidia, the prominent American semiconductor company, introduced new chips designed to advance Artificial Intelligence (AI) on personal computers.

Group president Jensen Huang presented his plans for around 20,000 attendees at the Las Vegas (CES) technology fair, solidifying its position as a leading figure in AI in cloud computing.

The line to get into the conference hall stretched for more than a kilometer, and many individuals couldn’t enter due to limited capacity.

Nvidia lowered the price of their latest product by one-third to enhance generative AI capabilities on PCs, making it available for $549 per unit.

GeForce RTX 50 is built on the latest Blackwell GPU, launched in late 2024, previously designated for cloud and data centers.

Nvidia’s primary focus is on GPUs, which propelled the company to become the second most valuable company globally following the AI breakthrough in late 2022.

The Californian company is going back to its roots by developing graphics cards to enhance video games, as it did in the 1990s.

The Santa Clara group in California anticipates that their new microchip will pave the way for the development of virtual assistants that can monitor users as they interact with their computers.

Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, and Lenovo plan to incorporate the processor into their computer models starting in April.
