Apple is growing in Brazil but still lags significantly behind Xiaomi in the market.

Samsung and Motorola have dominated the Brazilian smartphone market, followed closely by Xiaomi and Apple in the battle for third place. Apple has seen a decline in active users since December 2024, allowing Xiaomi to take the lead.

Xiaomi will solidify its position in third place.

StatCounter reported that Samsung was the top player in the Brazilian market in January 2025, holding a market share of 37.96%, slightly lower than December’s 38.68%.

Motorola is in second place with 23.59% (compared to 24.32% in December), while Xiaomi remains in the third spot for the third month in a row with 19.18% (down from 19.88% last month). Apple, after experiencing a significant drop between September and November, has started to recover slightly. The company’s market share increased from 8.44% in December to 10.05% in January, but it still lags behind Xiaomi by 9.13%.

The data shows that an unidentified company holds 4.11% of the Brazilian market, securing a spot in the top 5. Realme entered the market in December 2020 and made its first appearance in the top 10 in October 2022, claiming 0.23% of the market share and ranking seventh. Currently, realme holds the sixth position with a market share of 1.68% in Brazil.
